India Post, through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), offers doorstep banking services to bring banking convenience to the customer's home. This service is especially designed for senior citizens, differently-abled persons, and customers living in remote areas where access to banking facilities is limited.

How It Works
Doorstep banking is provided by trained postal delivery staff equipped with handheld devices (micro-ATMs). Customers can schedule a doorstep banking visit by calling the IPPB helpline (155299), using the IPPB mobile app, or visiting their nearest post office.
Service Charges
Basic doorstep banking services such as account opening, balance inquiry, and Aadhaar seeding are offered free of charge. Nominal charges may apply for cash transactions and fund transfers as per the applicable fee schedule.

Doorstep banking services are currently available in select urban and semi-urban areas across India. India Post is continuously expanding the service coverage to reach more customers.
Security
All doorstep banking transactions are processed through secure handheld devices with biometric authentication. Customers are advised to verify the identity of the postal staff before availing services and to collect a transaction receipt for every service availed.
