Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Posts, has established Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) across the country. These centres provide passport-related services to citizens, leveraging the vast network of Post Offices to make passport services more accessible, especially in smaller cities and rural areas.

Services Offered at POPSK

  • Passport Application Submission – Submit your passport application form and supporting documents.
  • Biometric Capture – Fingerprint scanning and photograph capture for passport processing.
  • Document Verification – Verification of original documents by authorized officials.
  • Passport Issuance – Dispatch of passport to the applicant's address via Speed Post.

How to Apply

Applicants must first register and fill the application form online at the official Passport Seva website (www.passportindia.gov.in). After booking an appointment at the chosen POPSK, visit the centre with original documents for verification and biometric capture.

Documents Required

  • Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport (existing)
  • Proof of Address (Utility bill, Rental agreement, etc.)
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth certificate, School leaving certificate, etc.)
  • Passport-sized photographs (as per specifications)
